BDOG is a big day for SSHH because we are tackling the ever-expanding problem of homelessness and unaffordable housing head-on. In 2015, a minimum wage employee needed to work 86.5 hours per week, to afford a two-bedroom apartment in Sacramento. Since, as should be no surprise, the number of homeless in our community has increased by 30%.
The stats are staggering but should steer your focus to support organizations that are passionate, sustainably, and successfully providing a remedy, like Sacramento Self-Help Housing. In 2018, SSHH dramatically increased the size of its staff, subsequently increasing its capacity to make meaningful change in our community. With your support today,
BDOG can continue to expand its capacity for good. - Show your community pride and support us to make our region great again.
