SSHH staff work on the street and along the creeks to identify homeless people in Citrus Heights, and to help them overcome the barriers that keep them from obtaining housing
The “Let Them Eat Cake” fundraiser supports Sacramento Self-Help Housing (www.sacselfhelp.org), a local non-profit organization that helps people in need move from homelessness to permanent housing. We help people who don’t know how to break the cycle of unstable housing that hard times has thrown their way. Sometimes they just need a little help to make it on their own.

One part of reducing homelessness is increasing housing opportunities specifically for people who have become homeless. Sacramento Self Help Housing is doing this in single family homes across their region at a low cost through shared housing.
The videos below take you through what shared housing is, how it works, and the first steps you'd want to take to create an organization focused on shared housing in San Diego.
